And you didn't support it with enough units to outnumber it, there's no need for it to retreat. If it had gotten into the West Med, Spain would have moved to GoL, but he didn't, so you didn't. Anything else you want to complain about, Sunshine?

Fleet Gulf of Lyon has a zero value defending while attacking somewhere else. It should bounce to Tuscany his only option. I hope they haven't changed the rules regarding that

Fleet Gulf of Lyon has a zero value defending while attacking somewhere else. It should bounce to Tuscany his only option. I hope they haven't changed the rules regarding that We are over-complicating things. To be clear, a unit never has a zero defending value. A unit is either in a province or it's not, there is no 'moving to' where it is defenseless. I am going over the rulebook again for Aaron's benefit, but I'm pretty sure I won't find anything to support his outlandish crackpot theory. ;D Since the GoL didn't make it to it's intended destination (well, it was only intending to cut support, but regardless, 'move' and 'attack' are synonymous in this game), it has to stay put, and Spain can't enter the GoL without support. In this way the game fuctions like binary. It's there, or it's not, there is no 'almost' there. For another example, see what happened when Germany tried to move into Holland this turn. It can't move there, because the province it was intending to move to is occupied, only because that army couldn't make it to it's destination (Norway) because the Fleet in Norway didn't make it to the Barrents. Case closed. Judgement stands. There is no movement at all in the southern Iberian peninsula/Western Mediterannean. I can see no basis for the argument - it's a basic movement rule. All units strengths are 1:1. If you've been playing differently (and I never remeber doing so, to be honest), I can't dispute what might have happened years ago in another game. Your destination province must be empty or you must outnumber the defenders to force an opposing unit to retreat. Period.

I've looked as well and on the earlier versions of the rules online and I got jack. Apparently, Aaron has been undone by a house rule that we didn't know was a house rule. mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. PS Aaron if it will make you feel any better I'm blaming it all on Doug PPS Tim you're an ASS-JACKET and a lucky SOB

Page 6 of the rules. Learn to play n00b I already pointed that out to Aaron this morning. That wasn't good enough for him, (even though there's a picture, and very little reading involved ) so i was looking for something else more susbstantial. Oh well. Case closed, everythg bounces and holds as it is now.

. Apparently, Aaron has been undone by a house rule that we didn't know was a house rule Nice. "House rule." Smoke another bowl of forget-weed, oh mis-rememberer.
Since it is common knowledge that I've followed this game with avid interest, wouldn't you figure I would have spoken up if I thought something was wrong?
Steve is correct. All other assessments that are not Steve's are WRONG. Binary. 0 or 1. And would you rather have won, or be a zero?
